In 2014 Marie was asked by the WW2 living history group she was in to develop a wedding display. It stated with 2 gowns and an army uniform.
Now in 2018 it has grown to a large 1940s era collection of, 24 gowns, which include CC41 label, Double 11/Dinner Plate label, and Parachute Silk gowns. There is also bridesmaid dresses and a CC41 suit.
2018 has seen development on the Grooms side of marriage with the addition of a 3 piece suit and RAF uniform.
Now with her husband Pete, they take the display around the country either as part of weddings of yesteryear or as part of the living history group Spirit of the Homefront.
Most of the gowns are owned by Marie & Pete, there are a few on permanent loan as the families want others to enjoy them while not giving them away.
